Quality Materials

We at Sabal + Rose use only the finest wool felt for our many eye-catching designs. It is all-natural heirloom quality wool available in an array of colors. Wool and wool-blend felt are quite different from acrylic craft felt, which is found easily at craft stores, in that they are thicker and have a more luxurious feel as well as being more durable. Every single item in the shop is created lovingly by hand.

Flower Founder

My name is Valerie and I'm the owner and creator of Sabal + Rose.

Ever since I was a little kid, I've loved drawing, art, movies and creating things (I mean, the amount of friendship bracelets alone I made is astounding!). My passion for art and movies eventually led me to my career in animation — where I worked on a wide variety of feature films for nearly a decade (Hotel Transylvania 2, Rio 2, Hop, X-Men Days of Future Past, etc) and then games after that.

My husband and I have been married for 5 years now and have a two kids under 3 years old -- Hazel and Milo -- and our dog, Zucchini. When Hazel was a newborn, I decided I wanted to make a mobile for her. I really wanted something that would look nice in her room, but more importantly, would be interesting for her to look at when she was lying in her bed. After some planning, I decided to make this mobile I was envisioning and I loved making it!

From there, I started making more and more felt flower decorations and items. And that’s when the idea clicked. Why not start a business with my creations. That led me to found Sabal + Rose — allowing me to make my flower designs available to you!

Felt Rose Headband

I love my headbands! They are so pretty and soft. I love being able to wear it instead of just a regular hair tie. I wrap it several times around to hold my long hair in braids. It makes everyday life fun! It's the little things in life! =)
